Thank you for your interest in becoming a PRAAT certified Animal Assisted Therapy team!

Here is a summary of the steps involved in the screening process.

Step 1: Contact us and we'll be happy to answer any questions you may have about the program:

Step 2: Screenings are on the 2nd Tuesday of each month and are by appointment only. Please contact us so we can add you and your dog to the schedule for one of the upcoming screening dates. There are a few things we ask you to do before attending the screening:

Fill out the forms that will must be submitted at the screening. If you will print and sign these forms ahead of time it will save time at the screening:

Volunteer Contract

Obtain a copy of your dog's vaccination history from your veterinarian. Please bring this to the screening also. For the safety of the dogs and our clients, the following items must be kept up to date, year-round, on all dogs in the program:

	Distemper Parvo vaccine
	Rabies vaccine
	Kennel cough (Bordatella bronchiseptica) vaccine
	Annual heartworm test
	Annual intestinal parasite (fecal) test
	Monthly parasite prevention (Sentinel, Advantage, Advantix, Frontline, Revolution, Heart Guard).
